The Punjab Government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle involving six IAS officers, with changes made across several key departments and administrative positions. The transfers and postings have been ordered with immediate effect.
According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel, Government of Punjab, the following officers have been given new responsibilities:
Varun Roojam, IAS (2004)
Varun Roojam, presently serving as Administrative Secretary, Transport, will continue in the post and has been given the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Sports & Youth Services, against a vacant post.
Sakshi Sawhney, IAS (2014)
Sakshi Sawhney, Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, and Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab, along with additional responsibilities as Nodal Officer, Anti-Drug Campaign, will continue with these assignments. She has also been given the additional charge of Sports & Youth Services, against a vacant post.
Sandeep Rishi, IAS (2015)
Sandeep Rishi, presently Chief Administrator, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), SAS Nagar, will continue in the post. He has additionally been appointed Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, replacing Nikas Kumar.
Nikas Kumar, IAS (2020)
Nikas Kumar, who was serving as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, General Administration & Coordination.

All officers concerned have been directed to join their new places of posting immediately.
