The Punjab Government had earlier officially released a list of gazette holidays for the year 2026 and the notification was issued by the Personnel Department (Personnel Policy-3 Branch).
According to the schedule:
Janam Ashtmi will be observed on September 4, 2026 (Friday)
No other festival has been listed as a general public holiday in Punjab during September. While Sundays and applicable bank holidays will continue as regular weekly closures, they are not counted as additional festival holidays.
