The India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Chandigarh unit on Monday out multiple districts of Punjab on 'heavy to very heavy rainfall' alert. Although IMD Chandigarh's Punjab Rainfall Prediction has turned out to be false in the past, the weather department has made a fresh rainfall prediction.
July 21- On Orange Alert (very heavy rainfall alert)- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib.
On Yellow alert- Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Patiala and Mohali.
July 22- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala
July 23- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar
July 24- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, and Nawanshahr.
July 25- No Rain
Despite IMD Chandigarh not prediction rain in Ludhiana and Amritsar in the upcoming days, weather website AccuWeather shows strong chances of rainfall in both the districts.
