In a major development, Abhishek Gupta, son of Punjab Rajya Sabha MP and Trident Group Chairman Rajinder Gupta, narrowly escaped a road accident. Abhishek was returning from Delhi in his luxury car (Lexus LX 570) when a speeding car coming from behind hit his vehicle on the Rajpura GT Road.
The impact was so severe that it caused extensive damage to the car, but Abhishek Gupta are safe. Upon receiving information about the accident, local police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. The incident is reported to have occurred near Rajpura on Tuesday night.
For those who are unaware, Rajinder Gupta is one of Punjab's richest industrialists. Products manufactured by the Trident Group are now exported both domestically and internationally.
He is the founder and Chairman of Trident Limited, the flagship company of USD 1 Billion enterprise Trident Group.
In October 2025, Political Affairs Committee of Aam Aadmi Party announced Rajinder Gupta as it’s candidate of Rajya Sabha. Thereafter, he went on to become Rajya Sabha MP.
