Punjab Police has announced examination schedule for recruitment of 3,298 constables in District and Armed Cadres and according to official information Computer-Based Test (CBT) will begin on July 1, 2026.
The recruitment drive was launched in March 2026 to fill 3,298 vacancies across state and out of these, 2,522 posts are for District Cadre and 776 posts are for the Armed Cadre.
With announcement of examination dates candidates who have applied for the posts can now prepare for next stage of the recruitment process and Punjab Police has also informed applicants that admit cards for examination will be released soon and along with this candidates have been advised to regularly check official Punjab Police website for updates regarding admit cards, examination schedules and other important instructions.
When recruitment process was first announced the last date for submitting applications was March 30, 2026 however application window was later reopened to provide another opportunity for interested candidates following which the deadline was subsequently extended to May 5, 2026 and following the extension the number of applicants increased.
The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in both District and Armed Cadres of Punjab Police and the Computer Based Test will be first stage of the selection process for candidates seeking recruitment as constables in Punjab Police and further details related to examination are expected to be released by department through its official channels in coming days.
