Punjab has now become the second state to launch the ‘e-Sanad’ for digital verification of educational documents, aiming to end long queues, paperwork, and weeks-long waiting for students. Talking about the initiative, the Education Minister of Punjab Harjot Singh Bains says that now educational documents will be verified online and no more time would be wasted standing in lines. Now, with the launch of ‘e-Sanad’ in the state the process of document verification would be significantly reduced from the time frame of 45 days to just a few days.
This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of current and former students of board classes, says the Education Minister. He further adds that, ‘e-Sanad’ will enhance the credibility of the board's certificates and make it easier for students going abroad to access their documents.
