Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has accepted the request to operate Vande Bharat Train on Ferozepur route.

BJP leader Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi claimed that Vande Bharat Express train service from Ferozepur to New Delhi has been accepted.

Although the train number was not revealed in the announcement, timing and route have been announced.

Ferozepur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will operate daily. It will depart from Ferozepur at 7:55 am and reach New Delhi at 2:30 pm. The return journey will begin from Delhi at 4:00 pm, arriving back in Ferozepur at 10:30 pm. The train will run via Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Panipat, and New Delhi, benefitting not just Ferozepur but the entire Malwa region and several districts of Haryana.

There was a demand that the train route be extended beyond Ferozepur to Fazilka, but due to some technical reasons it was not possible immediately. However, the central government has given positive signals in this regard and it is expected that soon the route of Vande Bharat will be extended to Fazilka.
