Singer calls reports of Jalandhar-Amritsar highway accident ‘fake news’
Punjabi Sufi and folk singer Buta Mohammad has dismissed reports claiming that he was involved in a road accident, calling the reports completely false. In a video message, the singer said that he, his family and his vehicle are all safe and that he is currently at home.
Buta Mohammad also thanked fans and well-wishers who contacted him after hearing the reports. He said that he received thousands of calls from people who were concerned about his safety, with some even becoming emotional while checking on his well-being.
‘I am completely fine,’ says Buta Mohammad
Addressing his fans, Buta Mohammad said he was healthy and safe and clarified that the news about his alleged accident was fake.
He urged news channels and others sharing such information to verify facts properly before publishing or circulating reports. The singer also appealed to those who had shared the alleged accident news to delete it so that his fans and family members would not continue to worry.
Buta Mohammad said, “I am completely fine and healthy. The news being circulated about my accident is completely fake, and I strongly deny it.”
He further clarified that he was at home, his vehicle was safe and his family was also completely fine.
Singer thanks fans for their concern
The singer expressed gratitude towards everyone who called to check on him. He said many fans had contacted him out of concern after hearing the rumours and urged people not to spread unverified information.
He ended his message by asking people to take care of themselves and wishing everyone continued well-being.
What was claimed earlier?
The clarification came after reports and claims circulated that Buta Mohammad had met with an accident on the Jalandhar-Amritsar National Highway. The earlier reports claimed that the singer was travelling with his family and that the vehicle had been damaged in the alleged incident.
However, Buta Mohammad has now publicly denied that any such accident took place and stated that he, his family and his vehicle are safe. Police had also not publicly confirmed the accident at the time of the initial reports.
The singer's video therefore serves as a direct clarification against the accident claims and asks people to rely on verified information before sharing such reports.
