The weather in Punjab has made its residents confused. While for 2 days multiple districts of Punjab witnessed chilly weather and freezing winds after rainfall, the weather flipped from October 8 afternoon.
Nevertheless, Punjab's average temperature has become 5°C cooler than normal. However, IMD Chandigarh has predicted that no rain is expected for a week, and weather will remain normal, with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees.

Jalandhar
From October 10 to October 20 (Diwali), the night-time temperature is predicted to be hovering around 20°C to17°C. However, Jalandhar is expected to witness 2-days of summer like afternoon with 36°C-37°C highest temperature i.e. on October 16 and October 17. On October 20 i.e. Diwali, weather.com has predicted that the night time temperature will be around 18°C and daytime temperature will be 30°C.
Ludhiana
Ludhiana will also witness similar weather to Jalandhar. However, the day time temperature is expected to be registered at 35°C to 36°C from October 16 to 18. On October 20 i.e. on Diwali, the night time temperature is expected to be registered at 18°C, while day-time temperature is expected to be 30°C.
Amritsar
Similar weather condition is expected to prevail in Amritsar as well. As per Weather.com, on October 20, the night time temperature is expected to be registered at 18°C, while day-time temperature is expected to be 30°C.
After the effects of the Western Disturbance ended in Punjab, temperatures have risen by 5.3 degrees. However, the maximum temperature remains 5.1 degrees below normal. This change in weather is due to recent rain and snowfall in the mountains.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), October normally sees only 2.7 mm of rainfall. However, the state has seen an average of 29.4 mm of rainfall in the past few days, which is 988 percent more than normal.
