In last 24 hours, Punjab witnessed light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorm and lighting. The highest maximum temperature in the state was 37.2 °C recorded at Patiala while the lowest minimum temperature in the state was 26.1°C recorded at Pathankot.

Along with the predictions of light to moderate rainfall is likely at many places over Chandigarh and Panchkula. Light to moderate rainfall is likely at few places over Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Mansa and Sangrur. Light to moderate rainfall is also likely at isolated places over Ferozpur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga and Bhatinda.
Weather forecast for Sunday reveals no warnings but light to moderate rainfall is likely at few places over Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala and SAS Nagar (Mohali). Light to moderate rainfall is also likely at isolated places over Mansa, Sangrur, Ferozpur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga and Bhatinda.
So, to put it simply, Punjab is likely to remain under an active rainy spell over the coming days, with August 15 carrying a risk of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms at isolated locations. While Sunday is expected to pass without any major warning, scattered rainfall will continue across several districts, keeping temperatures relatively moderate.
