Himachal weather impacting Punjab

Snow has fallen in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh as winds have changed direction from the west. White has appeared in Lahaul-Spiti, as it has in Rohtang Pass and Shinkula Pass. Thunderstorms may appear in Shimla, develop in Kullu, and then develop in Kangra. Mandi may see winds, and Chamba may see sudden rain too. There will be no respite from rain, nor from snow, in that region for close to a week. This is what the Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted recently.

Residents in Jalandhar may see scattered rain, overcast skies, as changes in temperature may develop at any time this week. As rain may bring respite from the heat that has appeared in recent times, it would do well for residents to have a cover at the ready. Rather than seeing clear skies, residents may see clouds.
