Rajvir Jawanda Death: Dilpreet Dhillon, Vicky Dhillon's performance at Sara Mela cancelled

Dilpreet Dhillon, and, Vicky Dhillon were slated to perform in Ludhiana Saras Mela on October 8 evening at Ludhiana Saras Mela.

In the wake of the demise of Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, Ludhiana district administration on Wednesday cancelled the star night of Saras Mela 2025. Dilpreet Dhillon, and, Vicky Dhillon were slated to perform in Ludhiana Saras Mela on October 8 evening at Ludhiana Saras Mela. However, their performances at the Mela have been cancelled for today.

Ludhiana District Administration's official announcement reads-

"In light of the sad and untimely passing of the renowned Punjabi singer, Shri Rajvir Jawanda Ji, the District Administration, Ludhiana, has decided to cancel the Star Night scheduled for this evening, 8th Oct at the Saras Festival.

This cancellation is a mark of deep respect for the departed soul and to mourn the immense loss to the world of Punjabi music. We share our deepest condolences with his family, friends, and fans. We thank you for your understanding."

Notably, Dilpreet Dhillon also reacted to Rajvir Jawanda's death on his Instagram handle by sharing his picture.

What happened to Rajvir Jawanda?

Fortis Mohali in their official statement said, "Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He was admitted on September 27, 2025, in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage.

Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans."

How Rajvir Jawanda's accident took place?

As per reports, Rajveer Jawanda was on a bike ride with other friends when an animal suddenly appeared in front of him, causing the bike to lose control, resulting in the accident. He suffered serious head injuries after hitting the road. He also suffered a cardiac attack before being brought to Mohali.

CM Mann had stated that he met with Rajveer's family and doctors. The family reported that his condition was very poor yesterday, with his heart was malfunctioning, and he was on four life support machines. Now his condition has improved slightly, and one machine has been removed, but he remains unconscious. Doctors and specialists are caring for him.

Rajvir Jawanda was traveling from Baddi to Shimla on his bike. According to people present at the scene, Jawanda's bike collided with a jeep while trying to save fighting bulls on the road.
