A major breakthrough has come in the case of Kabaddi player Rana Balachauria. The Mohali Poilce has killed the main accused Karan in an encounter on the airport road. As per reports, the accused had tried to flee from custody and attacked the officers during a weapon recovery operation.
As per reports, the accused Karan was also responsible for the murder of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s mother. Following the encounter, the injured accused was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. The shooter was earlier arrested by the Punjab Police team from West Bengal and was said to be an associate of the Bambiha gang.
A kabaddi promoter and player Digvijay Singh aka Rana Balachauria was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Sector 79, Sohana area of Mohali on December 15 last year. The Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans who had reached the spot after the incident had informed the media that the kabaddi player Rana Balachauria was attacked by 2-3 men who opened fire on him. The police had recovered 4-5 empty bullet shells from the crime scene.
