Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora attended the event held under this initiative in Jalandhar to directly interact with industrialists from four districts.

Industries and Power Minister Punjab Mr. Sanjeev Arora, stated that the events launched by the Punjab Government under “Rising Punjab– From Suggestions to Solutions” will prove to be highly effective in giving a major boost to industries in the state.

Today, he attended the event held under this initiative in Jalandhar to directly interact with industrialists from four districts. Later, he addressed the press during a press conference. On this occasion, Director Industries Surabhi Malik, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, and Additional CEO (Invest Punjab) Rahul Chaba were also present.

Speaking with the media, Mr. Arora said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government is organizing these “Rising Punjab – From Suggestions to Solutions” events to promote industries in Punjab. The second such event was held today in Jalandhar, where not only were suggestions gathered from industrialists through direct interaction, but those suggestions will also be acted upon in a time-bound manner.

The Cabinet Minister shared that last year, the Punjab Government provided incentives worth ₹90 crore to industrialists, and now, within just 5 months, incentives worth ₹222 crore have already been given.

He also informed that a new portal is being launched for setting up industries in Punjab, through which all approvals will be granted within 45 days under a single-window system. In fact, approvals begin to be issued as early as the third or fourth day, so industrialists will not even have to wait the full 45 days.

He said that under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, the government is providing a conducive environment for industries in the state, due to which industrialists have so far invested ₹1.14 lakh crore. This has also provided employment to 4.5 lakh people.

He added that through the One-Time Settlement Scheme, nearly 40-year-old issues have been resolved, which has been warmly welcomed by the industry. An appellate authority has been established for canceled plots to ensure timely resolution.

Furthermore, the clubbing and de-clubbing of industrial plots has been implemented, enabling entrepreneurs to make better use of their land. Industrialists can now also convert leasehold plots or sheds into freehold. The government is also granting ownership of plots allotted on lease, so that entrepreneurs can conduct financial transactions with ease.

The Industries Minister further said that to facilitate industrialists, 24 committees covering different sectors have been constituted. No political members have been included in these committees, and ADCs have been added to ensure regular meetings.

He announced that a three-day Punjab Investment Summit will be organized in Mohali starting March 13, 2026, for which industrialists, traders, NRIs, and foreign companies will be invited to encourage maximum investment in Punjab.

He added that a special authority is also being set up to ensure that the taxes paid by industrialists are spent only on their focal points and industrial parks.

The state government has floated tenders worth ₹100 crore to upgrade focal points, ensuring proper sewerage, roads, lighting, and other basic facilities. Besides providing security in industrial areas, the government is also taking special initiatives to make healthcare services available to industrialists.
