In a fresh update in the case involving Sandeep Pathak he reportedly left his residence in Pandara Park located in Delhi before the Punjab Police could reach him and according to information he exited the house through the rear gate and left in a car.
As per sources two FIRs have been registered against him and one case is related to corruption while the other is linked to the alleged exploitation of a woman however it is not yet clear in which police stations these FIRs have been filed and reports suggest that both cases have been registered under non-bailable sections which means arrest is possible. It is also being reported that Pathak left his residence even before news about the FIRs became public and during this time he did not give any reaction regarding the allegations or the registration of the cases.
Sandeep Pathak a Rajya Sabha MP recently left the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the BJP along with six other MPs and following this development reports emerged that two FIRs were registered against him in Punjab in connection with serious charges.
The political developments come at a time when Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently won a confidence motion in the Punjab Assembly showing that the government still has majority support meanwhile the Punjab government has also raised concerns over the defection of seven Rajya Sabha MPs and plans to take up the matter with President Droupadi Murmu on May 5.
