Social Media Star Mad Sandhu Killed in Fatal Attack

Makeup artist and social media influencer Mad Sandhu was shot dead in Amritsar on Saturday evening. The incident took place on Loharka Road, where Sandhu sustained two bullet injuries. He was rushed to Fortis Hospital in critical condition, but died during treatment.

Shooting on Loharka Road

According to the information available so far, two rounds were fired during the incident and Sandhu suffered two bullet wounds. The circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation.

Following the incident, police reached the spot and began collecting evidence. The identity of the assailants and the motive behind the attack have not yet been officially established.

FIR Registered After Family Statements

Police officials said Sandhu’s father and other family members were present after the incident. Their statements were recorded, following which an FIR was registered in the case.

The investigation is now focused on establishing the sequence of events, identifying the persons involved and determining the circumstances behind the killing.

Last Instagram Post Before Shooting

Sandhu had also remained active on social media shortly before the incident. His last Instagram reel was posted at around 5 pm on Saturday, roughly an hour before the shooting. The reel contained Punjabi lyrics referring to saying goodbye, marriage and a “badmash”. There is currently no official confirmation linking the social media post to the shooting.

Police Statement

DCP Amritsar P.S. Virk said the investigation was still at an initial stage and that police had obtained some leads in the case. He said teams were working to establish the identity of the attackers and determine the circumstances behind the incident.

The DCP said details about the suspected assailants could not be disclosed at this stage as the investigation was ongoing and premature disclosure could affect the probe. He added that further information would be shared as the investigation progresses.
