Members of various societies and Resident Welfare Associations from all pockets of Surya Enclave, Jalandhar, under a joint delegation, today met Aam Aadmi Party's Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge Nitin Kohli and expressed their gratitude for the resumption of long-pending development works related to roads and streetlights in Surya Enclave.
On this occasion, the delegation submitted a detailed memorandum regarding the long-pending issue of land enhancement charges. The representatives stated that the matter has been stalled for years, due to which residents of Surya Enclave have been facing continuous hardships.
Along with this, the delegation also prominently raised the issue of Non-Construction Charges (NCF) being repeatedly levied by the Jalandhar Improvement Trust since 2016 and demanded that it be discontinued immediately and permanently.
The representatives demanded a permanent and just solution to both these issues so that residents of Surya Enclave, who have been struggling for their rights for years, can finally get relief.
Nitin Kohli listened carefully to the delegation and assured all the dignitaries present that he would make every possible effort at his level to resolve the matter. He also stated that he would soon raise the issue before the Hon’ble Local Bodies Minister and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab.

The delegation expressed hope that with the intervention of Nitin Kohli, this years-old issue of the residents of Surya Enclave will be resolved at the earliest.
