A 19-year-old girl named Paramjeet Kaur aka Param has become among those rare Punjabi singers who has pushed Punjabi music on the global map. Just like Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Aujla, and late Sidhu Moose Wala- Param has made her name into the lists of artists who has put Punjabi music on a global map.
The extent of fame of Paramjeet Kaur can be understood by the fact that she is now famous by the moniker 'Lady Moose Wala'.
While Param has been buzzing among fans for over a month, her Instagram continues to skyrocket in terms of followers.
India Today published a report on September 30 outlining that the Punjabi rapper had 338K followers on Instagram. Now, fast forward it to day i.e. on October 13, Paramjeet Kaur's current Instagram followers is 512K.
It means in the past 13 days Paramjeet Kaur has gained a whopping 174,000 followers. If you see on average-basis, Param has gained 13,385 followers per day.
Born into a humble and poor family in Moga, Punjab, Paramjeet has become an overnight sensation with her singing. She's being dubbed "Lady Sidhu Moosewala" on social media. This girl, who sings in the style of the famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Born in Duneke village, Moga, Param spent her childhood in poverty. Her mother worked as a domestic help and her father worked as a daily wage laborer. Param practiced singing with a classmate at Moga's Dana Mandi.Currently, Param is pursuing her graduation from BM College, Moga.

This Facebook page was spotted by British Punjabi music producer Mani Sandhu. He was very impressed with Param's songs. He then contacted her. After returning to India, Mani Sandhu met Param and planned to shoot the song.
Following the example of Gully Boy, this song was shot outdoors at a location in Mohali. The song was shot with a microphone inside a van. The song was titled "That Girl."
