Thieves strike jewelry shop in Mukerian, flee with 45 kg gold and silver jewelry worth 1.25 cr

The initial probe suggests that around 10-15 thieves carried out the whole heist.

Last night, thieves targeted a jewelry shop located on Talwara Road in Mukerian. It is being reported that the thieves escaped with around 45 kg of gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 1.25 crore. Talking about the incident, the shop owner, Manujit Mahajan tells that around 1 AM last night, he received a call from his friend informing him about the incident. After learning this he immediately left his house and went to the shop. He also informed the police about the same.

As per reports, the thieves have already fled by the time the police reached the scene. As of now, the Mukerian Police is examining the CCTV footage and trying to identify and apprehend the accused as soon as possible. Initial probe suggests that around 10-15 thieves carried out the whole heist.
