Tractor stunt goes wrong during Baba Nanak’s marriage celebration, 2 youths trapped

Tractor overturns on Batala-Jalandhar Road

A tractor overturned during the marriage celebration of First Sikh Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Batala, Gurdaspur, after youths allegedly performed dangerous stunts on the roads. Two youths were reportedly trapped underneath the overturned tractor, but people present at the spot managed to rescue them.

Speeding, sudden turns and dangerous stunts

According to the report, several youths had arrived in tractors to participate in the celebrations. Some were allegedly driving the tractors at high speed, making sharp turns and suddenly applying the brakes to perform stunts.

During one such stunt, a tractor lost balance and overturned, trapping two youths underneath it. People gathered nearby helped rescue them.

Police move in as stunts continue

The incident was reportedly brought to the attention of the police. The incident was shared through an Instagram account named Nitish Sharma. Obtaining more information about the video, it was found that the video was from Batala-Jalandhar. However, the youths allegedly left the spot before police could take action.

Police personnel deployed for the marriage celebration subsequently moved against tractor drivers involved in the alleged hooliganism and drove them away from the area. According to the report, some of them later moved to other locations and continued performing stunts.

Celebration turns into a safety concern

The incident has raised concerns over dangerous tractor stunts during a major religious gathering, where large crowds and heavy traffic can increase the risk of serious accidents.

The overturned tractor highlights the risks associated with reckless driving during public celebrations and the need for responsible driving and strict safety measures.
