The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has registered a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against former DIG H.S. Bhullar under FIR No. 26 dated October 29, 2025, invoking Sections 13(1)(b) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended).
Officials said the Investigating Officer obtained permission from the competent court to question the accused, who is presently lodged in judicial custody in connection with a CBI trap case registered in Chandigarh.
During the detailed, court-approved interrogation, the former DIG did not cooperate with Vigilance Bureau investigators. Following this non-cooperation, the Investigating Officer executed his arrest in the DA case.
The Vigilance Bureau stated that further investigation is ongoing.
