According to Billboard Canada, Kevin Buttar is the Co-Founder of Run-Up Records. He has been managing AP Dhillon from his earliest days.

Kevin Buttar told Billboard Canada, his journey with AP Dhillon 'began as a leap of faith between two complete strangers.'

Buttar further said, '..it has grown into not only a powerful artist-manager partnership, but also one of the most meaningful friendships of my life.'

Notably, AP Dhillon chose Buttar's agency despite his lack of experience or connections in the industry.

On this, Buttar said, "When AP chose to trust me, despite my lack of industry experience or connections, I made a promise to earn that trust every single day. I’ve carried that responsibility with me ever since."

But his team remained resistant to offers from film producers, and are rumoured to have turned down crores for 'Brown Munde'.

Dhillon has also expressed that in a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia that he is unwilling to sing songs for Bollywood movies.

Billboard further reports that in 2024, Buttar helped Dhillon become the first Punjabi artist born in India to sign with Republic Records and Universal Music Canada.
