In a horrific development, a woman was crushed to death after a car lost its uncontrol and ran over her. The shocking accident took place in Ludhiana's Ishar Nagar when a man was riding his car.
The victim's family informed the media that the woman was sitting near the edge of the road when the car driver passed the spot slowly two to three times, circling the area.
A few moments later, he returned at high speed, first colliding with a bike and an Activa scooter, and then running the car over the woman. Hearing her screams, locals rushed to the spot, but the driver fled immediately.
Police have registered the case and started action. The family stated that if they do not get justice then they would have protest by the body in the middle of the main chowk.
The Police informed that a case has been filed based on the statements of the family. Raids are carried out to arrest the accused. Appropriate action will be taken.
