To mark World Hepatitis Day, the Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (PILBS), Mohali—the state’s premier super-speciality institute dedicated to liver care—is organizing a comprehensive Liver Health Camp on July 28, 2026 (Tuesday), starting at 9 AM in the Outdoor Patient (OPD) premises of the institute.
In line with this year's global theme, "Let's Break It Down," the camp aims to make advanced liver diagnostic care accessible and affordable to the general public.
Director of PILBS Dr Virendra Singh said that under this special initiative, major liver diagnostic tests—including FibroScan, Ultrasound, Liver Function Test (LFT), Renal Function Test (RFT), Urine routine microscopy, Hepatitis B and C screening, alongside specialist Hepatology Consultation—will be offered as a bundle for just Rs 1000.
Exhorting the public to make maximum use of this opportunity, Dr Virendra Singh urged people from across the state to attend the camp and prioritize their health.
"This camp is not only for diagnosed liver patients but for everyone who wants to be assured that their liver is healthy," said the Director.
He emphasized that early detection and screening play a vital role in preventing severe liver complications, noting that regular check-ups are essential even for asymptomatic individuals to maintain long-term well-being.
