A dispute over pending rent in Jalandhar's Kishanpura area escalated into violence after a landlord and tenant allegedly clashed over rent payments. The tenant allegedly called several youths to the spot, following which the landlord's house was attacked with bricks and stones. The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed in the locality.
Rent Dispute Escalates Into Violent Attack
According to the information available, an argument broke out between the landlord and tenant on Sunday morning over the payment of rent. The dispute reportedly continued later, after which the tenant allegedly contacted several youths from outside and called them to the spot.
The youths allegedly attacked the landlord outside his house and assaulted him with sharp-edged weapons. Bricks and stones were also reportedly thrown during the incident.
A CCTV video of the incident has now surfaced. The footage reportedly shows a youth throwing bricks at the house, capturing the violence that unfolded in the residential locality.
Landlord Claims Rent Was Pending
The landlord alleged that the dispute began when he demanded the pending rent from the tenant. According to his account, the tenant had been living in the rented property with his family.
The landlord claimed that repeated demands for rent had led to arguments between the two sides. The situation eventually escalated, allegedly resulting in the attack on his house.
Attack Creates Panic in Kishanpura
The sudden violence reportedly created panic in the area. Bricks and stones were allegedly thrown during the attack, while the presence of youths armed with sharp-edged weapons further intensified the situation.

Police Begin Investigation
After receiving information about the incident, a team from Rama Mandi Police Station reached the spot and began investigating the matter.
Police officials inspected the scene and recorded statements from people present in the area. Investigators are now examining the CCTV footage along with the statements of witnesses to determine the circumstances that led to the confrontation and identify the people involved.
