Fact Check: Is the govt giving ₹46,715 via WhatsApp link? HERE’s the truth

According to the reports, the message, which will constitute a link, will be sent by the Ministry of Finance of India. After clicking the link, the individual has to fill in all the required personal details and will get ₹46,715 from the government of India.

Recently, a WhatsApp message has been doing the rounds on social media, which claims the Ministry of Finance has launched a facility for the general public of the country that just requires certain details.

According to the reports, the message, which will constitute a link, will be sent by the Ministry of Finance of India. After clicking the link, the individual has to fill in all the required personal details and will get ₹46,715 from the government of India.

The offer or the message might look tempting, but the real question is - Is this message FAKE, or is the government truly giving away such a big amount for free?

Fact Check -

As soon as the message went viral on social media, PIB Fact Check started its investigation to find out the credibility of the message. According to the PIB Fact Check, this claim is FAKE and the government has not promised any ₹46,715 to the residents and the citizens of the nation. 

PIB Fact Check outlined that this is a SCAM, and the Ministry of Finance has not shared any update related to such a scheme. 

While addressing the concern, they also shared a Facebook post, which read, “Just click on the link & share your personal info to get ₹46,715 from the Govt 💸Sounds too good to be true? Think again!

A #WhatsApp message claims that the Ministry of Finance is offering financial aid of ₹46,715 to the poor. #PIBFactCheck 🚫 This is a SCAM! 🚫Ministry of Finance has announced NO such scheme 🛑 Don’t click. Don’t share. Don’t fall for it! #StaySafe ⚠️,” the message further outlined.
