A larger Rajya Sabha Hall will have a capacity of up to 384 seats. It is based on Lotus theme, the National Flower.

The entire Central Vista project has a construction cost of over Rs 13,000 crore.

According to the official details of the Central Vista project, the construction of the new Parliament building cost a whopping Rs 862 crore.

The New Parliament Building will ha ve a built-up area of about 65,000 sq. mt and its triangular shape ensures optimum space utilization.

Designed by renowned architect Bimal Patel, the new Parliament building showcases a blend of contemporary and traditional architectural elements.

The new Parliament building comes under the Central Vista Redevelopment project and is currently undergoing finishing touches. It is expected that it will be inaugurated by PM Modi at the end of this month, most likely on May 28.
