HP | The major computer maker HP fired 6,000 employees making up 10% of the company’s entire unit.
Snapchat | The popular social media app Snapchat is also on the list after it announced the sacking of 6,400 employees who made up about 20% of its total workforce.
Salesforce | Software development unit firm, Salesforce whose entire number of sacking stood at 8,000 of its strong 80,000 plus team working across the globe.
Twitter | Twitter, the most talked about tech firm after Elon Musk’s takeover and the bizarre that followed, will be known to fuel the entire ongoing layoff spree and has sacked above 50% of its workforce, 3,700 in total.
Meta | The global tech major last year was among the first companies that announced layoffs last year, Mark Zuckerberg-owned Meta has fired 11,000 employees to date making 11% of its entire workforce.
Microsoft | Microsoft, whose sacking announcement came earlier this month, eliminated 10,000 employees which are just over 5% of its total workforce.
Google | Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc eliminated 12,000 jobs, its chief executive said in a staff memo. It became the latest addition to the list, the affected employees constituted 6% of its global workforce.
Amazon | The biggest e-commerce giant Amazon has fired 18,000 employees, including 1000 in India by far, making the company 6% of the entire workforce.
