Description- A working paper from the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) was recently released and it provided in-depth analysis of states' economy.
Delhi is the richest Indian UT in terms of the highest relative per capita income i.e. 250.8% as per PM's Economic Advisory Council.
It means an average person in Delhi had an income of 2.5 times of an average Indian.
Telangana, India’s youngest state formed in 2014 is number 2 with 193.6% relative per capita income.
Karnataka is number 3 on the list in terms of the highest relative per capita income- 180.7%.
Haryana is number 4 on the list in terms of the highest relative per capita income- 176.8%.
On number 5 is Tamil Nadu in terms of the highest relative per capita income-171.1%.
Gujarat is number 6 on the list in terms of the highest relative per capita income (2022-23)- 160.7%
Kerala is number 7 on the list in terms of the highest relative per capita income- 152.5%.
Maharashtra is number 8 on the list with 150.7% relative per capita income.
