The villa was funded by Viktor Khmarin, an old classmate of Putin's at Leningrad State University

Many things were found including scaffolding, stacks of building materials, tiles, a ladder, cables, refrigerators, and an uninstalled bathtub.

A video published on Thursday showed Kanev entering the empty house through an open door.

Reportedly, the villa was never completed.

The three-story villa boasts an elevator, wine cellar, underground garage, sauna, personal swimming pool, billiard room, office, and eight toilets

It was built for Putin by a close friend at the cost of some $3.2 million

As per a Russian outlet, the fishing villa is situated on the coast of Lake Saimaa in southeast Finland.

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin's multimillion-dollar fishing villa was found in Finland.
