Dubai
Dubai is one of the best places where you can arrive to indulge in the city that is lit up, with fireworks and dubai cuisine.
Nepal
Nepal's Tihar is Diwali's cousin. Locals adorn houses with small lamps, sing melodies, and even worship cows and dogs. I adored just roving around, looking at all the people so happy, it felt so warm and genuine.
Singapore
Little India in Singapore goes totally crazy during Diwali. Music everywhere, food on every street, lights around every corner. I walked around for hours, just gazing at the lamps and munching on snacks. Worth it.
Malaysia
Malaysia is colorful and noisy during Diwali. Temples are decorated, there are stalls selling food on each side of the road, and there's traditional dance on streets. I sensed that people just wanted to have a good time.
United Kingdom
Leicester and London do it in a big way. Fairs, fireworks, cultural festivals—you name them. It's cold, but the lights and decorations make it feel warm somehow. Everyone looks so cheerful celebrating together.
United States
One should witness the Diwali celebrations in the US, the way communities organize India's festive atmosphere over there is wonderful. Food, lights, shows—it feels like home if you are missing India somehow.
Sri Lanka
In Sri Lanka, it's primarily Tamil families who celebrate. All of them come together, visit temples, exchange sweets, and fire fireworks. It's easy but festive. I enjoyed how family-oriented it is.
Canada
Toronto and Vancouver host cool celebrations. Although outside may be freezing, lights, stage performances, and food stalls make it all seem vibrant. You can actually have fun with Diwali even away from India.
Fiji
Fiji is completely different. You have beaches, sun, and still people celebrating Diwali with music and dance. The atmosphere is so chill and welcoming. I could just sit on the sand, observe the festival, and be content.
Australia
Sydney and Melbourne organize large Diwali festivals. Fireworks, music, dance, community events. People from all walks of life participate, and it feels vibrant and lively.
