“Back on Pitch in February”: Is Yuvraj Singh ready to don India jersey on ‘public demand’?

Was Yuvi playing a prank by announcing his retirement? Legendary cricketer Yuvraj Singh has hinted at a future comeback on the pitch in February next year on social media.

Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh, on Tuesday (November 2), hinted to make a comeback on the field on the public demand in February 2022. The information was shared by the cricketer through a social media website. 


Yuvraj shared a clip of his bashing 150 scores against England in Cuttack and India won by flying colours. While sharing the clip, cricketer wrote, “On public demand, I’ll be back on the pitch hopefully in February”. 


Yuvraj’s caption read, “God decides your destiny!! On public demand, I’ll be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes mean a lot to me!”  


He further urged the fans to keep supporting team India during this tough ICC T20 World Cup tournament, in which the team has faced two consecutive defeats and its chance to qualify for the semi-finals is very slim.

His caption further read, “Keep supporting it’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough times #jaihind”.

As the cricketer specifically mentioned that month February in the caption, it is expected that he would play for the country in the “Road Safety World Series,” which is scheduled in the same month. And, reportedly, Yuvraj is a key member of the India Legends outfit that is led by Sachin Tendulkar.
