After DGP Punjab VK Bhawra has shown willingness to go on a central deputation, there is an indication that Batch 1992’s Gaurav Yadav, IPS can become the acting DGP of the state.
IPS Gaurav Yadav is currently Special Principal Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
There are some more officers that can also take charge of this position- Harpreet Singh Sidhu, Batch 1992, who is currently STF Chief and other is Dr. Sharad Satyam Chauhan from the same batch.
