The administration of UT has told that it has received a request from two who had got the charging stations allocated from the department.

An associated source was quoted saying, “Since the UT has asked to provide space for the charging station, the company will tell us the exact locations and we will provide the space accordingly. The area utilised by the installation of the charging station will be required to be deducted from the paid parking contractor agreement by reduction of the licence fee as per the proportion of their bids. Moreover, it may be considered that these charging stations can be provided on pavement area adjoining parking”.

The parking space would be still available for non-electric vehicles which do not require the charging station, to be implanted at the parking lots.
