In a move to appreciate the nature of the department’s work and the crucial role of plotting BJP leader Sundar Sham Arora’s arrest Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with two top Vigilance officials including VB Chief Varinder Kumar and AIG Manmohan Sharma.
Scheduled in line with CM’s order the meeting detailed the modus operandi of the department’s further operations. Besides, granting free hands to the honest officers on the line of govt's zero-tolerance policy against corruption.
Based on the reports, the state is also looking forward to drawing plans to place spy cams outside the residences of top bureaucrats to keep a vigil on the gifts being offered to them this Diwali. In order to check that nothing illegal happens, owing to which the relevant strict measures can be taken against those involved.
