Irish actor Colin Farrell is back on the big screen with a bang. This weekend he has a double treat for his fans as not only one but two of his films - "The Batman" and "After Yang” are out in theatres.

Batman is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. Produced by DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and Dylan Clark Productions, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. Colin portrayed Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin in the 2022 Warner Bros./DC Comics reboot The Batman.

On the other hand, After Yang is a 2021 American science fiction drama film written, directed, and edited by Kogonada. The plot follows a family's mission to repair their unresponsive robotic child. The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on July 8, 2021, and was released on March 4, 2022, by A24 and Showtime. It received generally positive reviews from critics.

Talking about ‘The Batman’, Farrell said, “Robert’s embodiment of Batman is terrifying and damaged and broken and wounded and empathetic and all those other things. My inner child (was) invoked by seeing this iconic image with his cape flowing in the wind and the sky outside of London back behind him... For me, it was just gorgeous to see this whole thing."

Farrell made his feature film debut in English actor Tim Roth's directorial debut The War Zone. He then portrayed the outlaw Jesse James in the Western film American Outlaws (2001) before starring in the thriller films Phone Booth (2002), S.W.A.T. (2003), and The Recruit (2003), establishing his international box office appeal. He proved with his films that he is not only a sex symbol in the industry but a versatile actor.
