Coronavirus Updates: With 38,073 fresh cases, India’s COVID-19 tally nearing to 86 lakh

Global, coronavirus case tally stands at 51,227,995 and 12.55 lakh have died so far. The US, the worst-hit country, has 10,416,629 cases, and 244,424 have died from the infection there.

Coronavirus caseload in India increased to 85,91,730 with 38,073 infections being reported in a day. The number of people who have recovered from the infection mounted to 79,59,406 taking the national recovery rate to 92.64 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday. 

With 448 new fatalities, the country’s coronavirus death toll soared to 1,27,059. The COVID-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.48 per cent and for the twelfth consecutive day, the number of active cases remained below 6 lakh. 

According to the health ministry data, there are 5,05,265 active coronavirus infection cases in the country. In August, India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark, on August 23, India had 7,30 lakh and 40 lakh on September 5. 


COVID-19 latest development:-

# With 60 new COVID-19 cases, Mizoram caseload increased to 3,156.

# With 562 new COVID-19 cases, Punjab's tally surged 1,37,999 on Monday, while 21 more fatalities took the death toll to 4,338. There are 4,934 active cases in the state. A total of 510 patients were discharged, taking the number of recoveries to 1,28,727. 

# Odisha’s covid-19 tally increased to 3,03,780 after 987 new infection cases were reported in the past 24 hours. The state has 12,584 active cases, while 2,89,689 people have recovered from the infection so far. The death toll in the state is at 1,454.

# With 48 fresh COVID-19 cases, Arunachal Pradesh's tally mounted to 15,484.

# With over 17.19 lakh cases, Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally remains the highest in India.

# Delhi reported over 70 fatalities due to COVID-19 for the third consecutive day on Monday, pushing the death toll to 7,060. The city’s covid-19 tally increased to over 4.4 lakh after 5,023 fresh cases were recorded. The city recorded seventy-one deaths. 

# On Tuesday, Jharkhand's COVID-19 tally increased to 1,04,688 after 246 more people tested positive for the infection, while Eight fresh fatalities took the state's coronavirus death toll to 905. There are 4,251 active coronavirus cases in the state, while 99,532 people have been cured of the disease by far. Jharkhand has tested 24,388 samples for COVID-19 on Monday. 

# On Monday, Goa's coronavirus caseload surged to 45,209. The death toll in the state climbed to 647 after four people died of the infection. About 232 people were discharged, taking the number of recoveries to 42,678. Goa has 1,884 active cases. 

# Goa's COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 45,209, new cases 144, death toll 647, discharged 42,678, active cases 1,884, samples tested till date 3,14,183.

# On Monday, Himachal Pradesh reported seven more COVID-19 fatalities, pushing the death toll to 379, while 711 new cases increased the infection count to 26,198. Total recoveries in the state as recorded on Monday was 228, pushing the total number of recoveries to 20,603. Currently, the state has 5,192 active COVID-19 cases.

# Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 11,96,15,857 samples have been tested up to November 9 with 10,43,665 samples tested on Monday. 

# Telangana has recorded 1,267 new covid-19 cases, pushing the total infection count to 2.52 lakh. The death toll in the state is 1,385 after four people died of the infection. As many as 18,581 patients are under treatment and 42,490 samples were tested on Monday.
