Harjinder Singh Dhindsa 35, PA of Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, Ravneet Bittu, has been fatally attacked by unidentified persons this morning. The incident took place in Eyali Chowk on Ferozepur Road.
According to information, Harjinder Singh Dhindsa was going from his village Tharike to Eyali Chowk by bus. Meanwhile, 15-16 assailants came on bikes and attacked them.
The attackers were armed with swords and sharp weapons and continued to attack them for about 5 minutes. In this attack, Harjinder Singh received deep wounds on his head.
Seeing Harjinder Singh injured, people immediately rushed him to a private hospital located on Ferozepur Road.
At the time Harjinder Singh was attacked, many people were present there but no one to help them due to the fear of attackers. In this attack, Harjinder Singh received 10 to 15 stitches on his head. Along with this, there are injuries on his side as well.
The hands of the police are empty till now. However, the police claim that teams have been formed to identify the accused.
They have also informed that the accused has been captured on CCTV and will be arrested soon.
