Amidst the political turmoil in Maharashtra, Mumbai Police on Tuesday was slammed and schooled by netizens on social media. The criticism of Mumbai Police after their official Twitter handle sought help from PETA India to rescue a trapped monkey stuck on a building in Dharavi. Mumbai Police was schooled by netizens that instead of seeking help from the forest department or veterinary department, the State Police sought help from a private organization. 

Sharing a picture of a trapped monkey, a user named Shagufta stated that the monkey has been trapped on the 12th floor of Bhartiya society Dharavi. Dharavi monkey trapped photo raised many eyebrows with netizens expressing their worry for the animal. Sharing the photo, the user also tagged Mumbai Police, Aditya Thackeray and BMC. Soon, Mumbai Police responded to the Dharavi trapped monkey photo and tagged PETA India to look into the matter. 

"Its been 4 days this monkey is trapped in 12th floor of Bhartiya society Dharavi... we are only able to feed him but we are helpless to get him from here.... he is very scared... pls help," wrote the user.
