Centre informs Delhi HC today that substantial steps have been taken,43 FIRs filed in relation with Jan 26 violence of which 13 transferred to Delhi Police Special Cell.

"We're invoking UAPA in FIRs including those in which banned entity 'Sikhs for Justice' is involved," said Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India.

Meanwhile, as per various reports, 115 farmers have been detained in various prisons and over 29 are still claimed to be 'missing'.

The Supreme Court had earlier in January put on hold the implementation of farm laws and framed a committee to look into the grievances of farmers. The committee was reported to provide its report after two months.

The government of India also offered to put the laws in abeyance for 18 months, however, the farmers want only the repeal of laws.

Now the government has resorted to cementing metal spikes, barricading the protests sites and blocking ways using barbed wires on walls and on streets.

The international celebs, activists and public figures have come out in support of farmers while some of the Indian celebs and sports personalities have said India is together and they have used hastags such as India against propaganda.

However, no one suggested whose propaganda but everybody is entangled in a Twitter war on farm laws and the stance of the union government.
