An FIR has been registered in Panipat’s GRP Police Station in connection with the attack on Punjab Advocate General Anmol Ratan Sidhu on Tuesday evening. The GRP Police has registered a case under Section 152 of the Railway Act against unknown persons. He was traveling on a train from Delhi to Chandigarh when miscreants pelted stones and broke the glass windowpane.
Advocate General Sidhu said he had gone to Delhi on Monday for the case of Lawrence Bishnoi in the Supreme Court and on Tuesday when he was returning to Chandigarh on the Shatabdi Express, his train arrived at a railway station near Panipat. People pelted stones at him from outside the train, shattering his seat window.
