Former Pakistani PM Imran Khan, aides shot during a rally in Wazirabad

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been injured in his leg after he was shot during one of his party rallies in the Wazirabad province. As per ARY News, the incident happened at Zafarali Khan Chowk. The incident has also led to the injury of four of his close aides.

Soon after the firing incident, former PM Khan was transferred to a bulletproof vehicle from the container where he was earlier stationed. Videos erupted from his rally where he can be seen being transferred to a bulletproof vehicle after the firing.

During the rally, he was traveling in an open-top vehicle passing through the sea of his followers and other leaders, members of the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaaf party. Reportedly the PTI leader Faisal Javed also suffered bullet injuries in the incident.

A fellow party leader and senior functionary, Fawad Chaudhary said that the man who shot at Khan brought an AK-47 into use. He went on to say that it was a targeted attack. Khan has been shifted to a Lahore-based hospital for treatment as per a fellow Pakistani leader Asad Umar.
