Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today invited the aspiring students to pursue a career in this field by acquiring knowledge about Handlooms and Textiles.
Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that a three year diploma course in Handlooms and Textile Technology would be started for the session 2022-23 at Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Jodhpur. He said that the students who have passed 10th and +12 can take a step towards building their career in this field by enrolling in this course.
He further said that aspiring students can apply for admission in this course from July 15, 2022 adding that the age limit for admission in diploma courses for all classes is 15-23 years as on July 1, 2022 while SC / ST Candidates aged between 15-25 years will be eligible for the admissions.
He also stated that four seats have been reserved for four students of Punjab for this course and the students pursuing the course would be given a stipend of Rs. 2500 per month which would be contributed equally by state and union government on 50-50 percent share basis. He called upon the aspiring youth to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
