'Bat Out of Hell' singer Meat Loaf died at the age of 74 at his home. 
Singer and Actor Meat Loaf, known for his Bat Out of Hell album and supporting role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show died at the age of 74. The news was confirmed by the actor's family on his Facebook page.

In the post shared by his family, they said, "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda, and close friends.

His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 Million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including "Fight Club", "Focus", "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Wayne's World".
"Bat Out of Hell" remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time.
We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.
We thank you for understanding our need for privacy at this time.

The cause of the singer's death is not revealed yet. His family and close friends were with him during the last 24 hours. The Facebook post describes the journey of the Singer in the music and film industry. He was born on 27 September 1947 and worked around 6 decades which is very rare for anyone. In his career, he sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
