Ahead of the Republic Day tractor march to the national capital, Bhogpur farmers organised a tractor rally here today to urge more and more villagers to participate in the tractor march to Red Fort.

As many as 400 farmers and youth under the banner of Kissan Mazdoor Sangarsh Commitee had gathered today at the Bhogpur grain market to launch a tractor rally in the district. Covering nearly 30 kilometeres the rally began around 10 AM and after coverig around 26 villages and it was concluded at Kishangarsh at 4 in the evening.

Various langar stalls were also setup in the rally routes to keep the farmers fueled up. Apart from tractors the protesters had also arrived on bikes, cars and even cycles.

Gurpreet Singh Atwal, district vice president of Kissan Mazdoor Sangarsh Committee said, "Considering the tractor march on the occassion of Republic Day parade, the farmers will for Delhi on January 24 and will join the agitators at Singhu border. While the Modi government has selected the tableau of Punjab for Republic Day parade, we will show them the whole Punjab in the national capital right infront of his eyes. Apart from that on the occassion of Lohri, a copy of the agricultural laws will be cirulated in the villages to set them on fire".

Meanwhile, the farm leaders also warned the government to revoke the "black laws" otherwise they would intensify their protest every day.
