Amid tight security, farmers tractor march has gotten out of the way and many farmers have reached at Red fort, Delhi. Many of the group have managed to enter central Delhi despite many warnings by the police.
As the tensions are rising across Delhi and other parts of the nation, the authorities have ordered shutting down of gates of Delhi Metro. Nihangs tried to attack police officials with swords while police also cane charged and fired tear gas shells.
Entry and exit gates at several metro stations have been
closed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. It is expected that more police force
and soldiers will be deployed to contain the situation.
Police sit on Roads
According to reports, there is massive snarl up of vehicles on ITO. After lathi-charging the farmers, the police have sat on the roads asking the farmers to retreat. Police are cautioning the farmers that they have shooting orders if any suspected try to enter Red Fort at Delhi.
