Coronavirus Punjab-Lockdown Punjab-Police
Punjab police have been seen providing dry ration, bringing up birthday/anniversary cakes, providing shelter to the downtrodden, financially assisting poor, helping people during medical emergencies and so on.

In another similar incident, Ludhiana based Ladhowal police station officers have reached out to the poor family of village Razapur who had fixed their daughter's marriage before the lockdown was imposed. The police personnel helped the family by giving away sweets, dry ration and other essential commodities to fulfil the rituals of marriage.

While talking to the media, station in-charge Balwinder Singh said that under the directions of Police Commissioner Rakesh Agarwal, we have been ordered to lend help to the needy.
Following the practice, we got to know about this family, who is a daily wage earner and has lost their source of income since lockdown is imposed.

We have provided the family with all the essential services they needed to perform the marriage of their daughter in this hour of crisis.

Notably, all the expense incurred on the commodities has been paid by Police officer Balwinder Singh. Punjab is applauding Balwinder Singh for his commendable services to the poor.
