NCB arrested 92 people and registered 30 cases of drugs after Sushant Singh Rajput's case

Ever since the NCB entered in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, the anti-drug agency is raiding in the whole of Mumbai to bust the drug racket going on in the Hindi film industry. It's been more than six months since Sushant Singh Rajput has died but the NCB investigation is still going on. 

Big celebrities have also come under the grip of the Narcotics Control Bureau. Sameer Wankhede, zonal director of NCB's Mumbai and Goa branch, said that so far 30 new drug cases have been registered in the last three months, in which 92 people have been arrested so far by the Mumbai Police.

On June 14, 2020, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra flat under mysterious circumstances. Sushant's family lodged an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty and others for abetment of suicide case. Later, drugs angle emerged out in Sushant's case through WhatsApp chats of Rhea Chakraborty after which the NCB was included in the case by the CBI.

If we compare the action taken by the NCB in the year 2020 with the actions taken in the previous years, then in the year 2020 there have been many more arrests. Going by the reports of Aaj Tak, in the year 2016, 23 cases were registered by NCB and only 20 people were arrested.In the year 2017, 30 cases were registered by NCB, but only 38 accused were arrested. Similarly, in the year 2018, 25 cases were registered by the NCB and 55 people were arrested. In the year 2019, 35 cases were registered by the NCB and 50 people were arrested.
