Night curfew in four major cities of Gujarat - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot will be extended till 28 February which will be implemented from midnight till 6 in the morning, as per an order released by the state government on Monday.
The curfew from 11 pm to 6 am for four cities ended on February 14.
"Night curfew will be imposed in four metro cities of Gujarat from midnight to 6 am from 16th to 28th February, " said Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of State Home Department.
The state government has decided to extend the night curfew in the wake of rising coronavirus cases after Diwali in November 2020.

Emergency services such as police, fire, medical and municipal corporations, are exempted from the ban of movement during the curfew period.
Passengers travelling to board trains or flights will be allowed to commute within the curfew timings.
