Actress Sushmita Sen recently volunteered to help during the COVID 19 second wave in India, arranging for oxygen cylinders to be transported from Mumbai to New Delhi. She did the same after the CEO of Shanti Mukand Hospital, who had broken down while speaking to the media, announced a shortage. Although the star was able to organize the cylinders, she needed Twitter's help transporting them.During this time, a user questioned her about it, asking why she was sending it to Delhi rather than Mumbai.

A user on Twitter wrote on Sushmita Sen's post and asked her, "If Oxygen Crisis is everywhere why are you sending it to Delhi instead of giving it to some similar hospital in Mumbai." To this, Sushmita straight away gave an appropriate response and informed the user that Mumbai continues to have oxygen but Delhi needs it. She said, "Because Mumbai still has oxygen cylinders available, that’s how I found it. Delhi needs it, especially these smaller hospitals, so help if you can."

The actress expressed her feelings on Twitter, sharing an ANI tweet depicting the CEO of a Delhi hospital breaking down while discussing a lack of oxygen. She penned,"This is deeply heartbreaking...oxygen crisis is everywhere. I have managed to organise a few oxygen cylinders for this hospital but have no way to transport it to Delhi from Mumbai...please help me find a way."

Many people responded to her tweet with suggestions about how she should transport the cylinders to Delhi.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the COVID 19-second wave, a host of Bollywood celebrities, including Sushmita Sen, have stepped forward to assist people by sharing phone numbers, helplines, and other COVID 19 resources. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sonam Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and others have been attempting to assist those affected by the second COVID surge.
